How do I glue up a coved backsplash and two endsplashes using a coving router on the verticle without tearing or blowing out material.  Am I supposed to turn the router on its side or is there a better way.

Kevin,

Yes - you do need to turn the cove router on its side.

Also, we suggest that you build a fence that goes up higher than the splash - this would allow you to continue running the router up the side continuing against the fence so that you could reach the top side of the splash.  This fence must be flush with the face of the cove and reach around under the deck - this is so you can properly clamp the fence in place.  You could make this fence out of wood.

Hope this helps.
