I am looking for an acrylic liquid inlay for doing some CNC carvings in solid surface. I have tried inlace but it is too soft and since it is polyester I am afraid to try inlaying V-carvings. I know the adhesives would stay in the grooves forever but they are too transparent. I thought of adding a dye like the inlace and try to figure a way to thin it. The only thing I have found is $125 for 500grams OUCH! Hope someone can help.
Thanks

Hi Bill,

The best would be for you to purchase inlay resin (possibly at a hobby shop or boat repair place).  Get some acrylic paint to tint it with.

That is pretty much what Inlace is. A polyester resin. It is pretty soft when cured so when I sand it it sands out of the acrylic leaving a dip even with an 11 inch pad on a 5 inch inlay. Can I get acrylic resin anywhere?
Thanks
Bill
